The seminar “Decolonial Approaches in Psychology in Times of Genocide” is an open discussion for PhD candidates and postdoctoral fellows in Psychology, featuring Samah Jabr, psychiatrist, psychotherapist, and writer, former Head of the Mental Health Unit at the Ministry of Health in Palestine; and Francesca Esposito, community and health psychologist and researcher at the Department of Psychology, University of Bologna.

The event aims to foster dialogue by addressing reflections and questions from participants. Attendees are encouraged to prepare and share a collection of preliminary questions for the speakers.

The seminar is promoted and supported by the PhD Students’ Representative Board and the Postdoctoral Fellows’ Representative Board of the Department of Psychology “Renzo Canestrari”, as part of ongoing reflections on taking a stance for social justice within the field of psychology, particularly in the context of the ongoing genocide in Palestine.

The discussion will be moderated by Maric Martin Lorusso and Annalisa Cecconi from the Laboratory of Community Psychology.
